1. Definitions
“Company” refers to MultiCar Delivery.
“Customer” refers to any individual or business instructing the Company to transport a vehicle.
“Vehicle” refers to any vehicle or vehicles booked for transport.
“Carrier” refers to the Company or any subcontracted transporter appointed by the Company.
2. Services Provided
The Company provides nationwide and international vehicle transport and logistics services. Transport may be carried out by the Company’s own fleet or by approved subcontracted carriers.
3. Quotations
All quotations are provided based on the information supplied at the time of request and remain valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated. Any change in vehicle details, condition, collection/delivery location, timing, or special requirements may result in a revised quotation.
Quotes are estimates until confirmed in writing.
4. Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once accepted by the Company. The Company reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking prior to collection.
Deposits or full payment may be required before scheduling transport.
5. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- UK transport must be paid prior to delivery.
- International transport must be paid prior to collection.
Failure to make payment when due may result in delay, cancellation, storage charges, or refusal to release the vehicle.
6. Vehicle Condition Requirements
The Customer must ensure the vehicle:
- is roadworthy unless declared otherwise
- has working steering and brakes
- has sufficient fuel for loading and unloading
- has no excessive fluid leaks
All existing damage must be declared prior to transport. The Company is not responsible for undeclared pre-existing damage.
7. Liability & Maximum Cover
Unless agreed otherwise in writing before transport, the Company’s liability for loss or damage is limited to:
£250,000 per vehicle
Any vehicle valued above this amount must be declared before booking so that additional insurance cover can be arranged if required. Additional premiums must be paid before collection.
In the absence of written agreement for increased cover, the standard liability limit applies regardless of the vehicle’s actual or declared value.
The Company does not accept unlimited liability under any circumstances.
8. Insurance
Vehicles are transported under the Goods in Transit insurance policy held by the transporting carrier, subject to policy limits, exclusions, and conditions. Insurance applies only during active transport.
Enhanced cover may be arranged upon request, subject to additional cost and prior agreement.
9. Subcontracted Transport
The Company reserves the right to subcontract vehicle movements to approved and vetted transport partners. Subcontracted carriers operate under their own insurance and transport terms. In such cases, the Company acts as a transport coordinator.
10. Collection & Delivery Timeframes
Collection and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly confirmed as fixed in writing. The Company is not liable for delays caused by factors outside its control, including but not limited to:
- traffic or road conditions
- weather conditions
- mechanical breakdowns
- ferry or port delays
- customs delays
- force majeure events
11. International Transport & Customs
Where required, the Company can arrange customs documentation and clearance services. All import duties, VAT, government taxes, or official charges remain the responsibility of the Customer and must be paid in advance where applicable.
12. Claims Procedure
Any damage claim must:
- be noted at time of delivery
- be supported by photographic evidence
- be reported within 24 hours
Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
The Company is not liable for:
- mechanical faults
- electrical faults
- alarm faults
- battery failure
- tyre pressure changes
- suspension issues
- convertible roof faults
- pre-existing defects
unless proven to have been caused directly by negligence during transport.
13. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing. The Company reserves the right to charge reasonable cancellation fees if a vehicle has already been assigned, scheduled, or dispatched.
14. Storage & Redelivery Charges
If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect details, customer absence, refusal, or inability to accept delivery, storage and redelivery charges may apply.
15. Personal Items
Vehicles must not contain personal belongings or loose items. The Company accepts no responsibility for items left inside vehicles.
16. Authority to Book
The Customer confirms they have authority to instruct transport and permission from the vehicle owner where applicable.
17. Refusal of Service
The Company reserves the right to refuse to transport any vehicle that is unsafe, misdescribed, overloaded, or poses a risk to equipment or personnel.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
19. Acceptance
Booking transport with MultiCar Delivery constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
